The heat pump is an electric machine that is based on the thermodynamic cycle of the refrigerant fluid, transferring heat from a low temperature environment to a higher temperature one.
Ecodan® heat pump systems guarantee high energy performance even at low temperatures. All external devices are capable of raising the temperature per round up to 60°C, to allow a quick and efficient accumulation of domestic (household) hot water.
The high energy efficiency of Ecodan® heat pumps is possible due to the top technology present in each component of the heat pump. For example, thanks to the exclusive “Flash Injection” device, the external units of the Zubadan series maintain constant airflow capacity down to -15°C.
Economical and ecological state-of-the-art heating systems
Both economical and safe for the environment, ecodan heat pumps from Mitsubishi Electric incorporate a very efficient heat pump system that takes “heat from the air”, a renewable source of energy. They are equipped with advanced control systems that ensure a meticulous adjustment of the temperature ensuring a comfortable heating, also saving space by using “All-in-one” indoor units that are easy to install. Energy saving, high comfort, simple installation have brought ecodan heating systems to the center of the heat pump scene.
The functionality provided by ecodan covers the needs of heating, preparation of domestic hot water, as well as cooling. Cooling can be done with fan coil units, radiant walls and ceilings in the case of split and monobloc units, or with indoor air conditioning units in the case of hybrid systems.
Zubadan series
It is equipped with the Flash injection circuit developed by Mitsubishi Electric, which is composed of a by-pass circuit and a heat exchanger (HIC). The heat exchanger transforms the liquid refrigerant, diverted through the by-pass circuit, into a gas-liquid state to reduce the load on the compressor. This process ensures excellent heating performance even when the outside temperature drops very low. In traditional units, when the outside temperature is lowered, the volume of refrigerant flowing through the compressor decreases due to the drop in refrigerant pressure and overheat protection caused by high compression, resulting in a decrease in heating capacity. The Flash injection circuit injects refrigerant to maintain circulating refrigerant volume as well as compressor load, thus maintaining heating capacity.
